President Erdogan announced that Turkey will not buy foreign defense systems which Turkey is capable of produce itself.
Speaking at a meeting of AK Party in parliament, President Erdogan said that Turkey will not buy defense systems, software or products from abroad except in emergency, vowing to develop domestic military designs and systems.
Erdogan stated that Turkey is ready to “cooperate with foreign defense firms that accept Turkey’s conditions” but this would not lead to purchases of ready-made systems
